Our Tireless Coaches
Without the efforts of coaches, kids won't have the opportunity to properly learn the game of baseball, or perhaps even the opportunity to play. Despite all their efforts in scheduling games an practices, preparing fields, organizing fundraising efforts, carrying equipment and working with the kids, the Sluggers Coaches are true volunteers.Next time you see a Sluggers coach, be sure to say "Thanks."

Jim Shipman
As the founder of the Salt Lake Sluggers Baseball Club, I am committed to providing as many kids as possible the opportunity to play baseball at a very competitive level. I have been involved coaching kids from ages 4-18 for the past 15 years. I hope that we can help kids develop as better baseball players and better people. If the kids are willing to have fun and are willing to listen and develop, the victories will come - in baseball and in life.

Jim Olson
I am employed as the Senior Vice President of the Utah Jazz and Salt Lake Bees. I have been coaching baseball for 23 years. I started coaching at Highland High School shortly after graduation. I have been involved with coaching little league through high school ever since.I believe that kids can drastically improve their baseball experience by teaching them the finer details of the sport. As they learn these skills, they will enjoy and respect the game and become better players.
